About
Privacy space is an initiative that aims to bring together privacy and data protection enthusiasts from all over the world into a unique space where everyone is welcome to participate and share their ideas.
The story of Privacy Space begins with two visionaries, Richard Merrygold and Barry Moult, who used to gather with colleagues at Privacy Arms to discuss privacy and security issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Richard teamed up with Diogo Duarte to create online chat sessions, allowing everyone to join informal discussions. Tash Whitaker played a crucial role as the host of many of these sessions.
When COVID restrictions lifted, the community’s demand for in-person events led to the first Privacy Space event in November 2022. Since then, we’ve been organizing these gatherings twice a year, each time bringing fresh perspectives and invaluable insights.
